“Electocracy in America” Conference Schedule Announcement

An event years in the planning, the “Electocracy in America: Elections and their Alternatives” conference will be held on March 15-16 in Columbia, with the bulk of proceedings taking place at the Kinder Institute offices in Jesse Hall. Placing political theorists in conversation with political historians, and scholars of revolutions in conversation with scholars of institutions, panels will explore topics including voter mobilization, rules and regimes, and what happens when electocracy, the term being test driven at the conference, fails.
