Addie Morlan
Addie Morlan is a junior at the University of Missouri, majoring in Journalism, with a concentration in Strategic Communications, complemented by minors in American Constitutional Democracy, Political Science, and Defense and Strategic Studies. As the founder and president of the Informed Citizens Society on campus, she is dedicated to combating misinformation and polarization among college students. She also serves as the assistant for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, is an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and in her role as a PR Specialist at Matchbook Marketing Agency, applies her communication skills to address real-world challenges. Additionally, she has presented research on the impact of misinformation on democratic institutions through the Kinder Institute Undergraduate Society. After graduation, she plans to attend law school to explore the intersection of media, democracy, and civil rights.
