Bobby Lee

Biography

Originally from Waterloo, Illinois, Bobby Lee graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri in December 2024 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Constitutional Democracy, along with minors in Political Science and East Asian Studies. In addition to pursuing the MA, Bobby currently works as a teaching assistant from the Kinder Scholars DC Summer Program.

His research interests focus on twentieth-century American history, such as the history of American liberalism and how transformations in the American political economy were represented by social and cultural trends and movements. In his free time, Bobby enjoys watching the Denver Nuggets and Newcastle United, engaging in progressive politics, listening to Steely Dan, and learning about ocean conservation.  After graduation, Bobby hopes to work in municipal/state government or the non-profit sector, specifically in the areas of sustainable economic development and environmentalism.
