Maggie Bane

Biography

Maggie Bane is an MU sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Constitutional Democracy, who splits her non-Columbia time between Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL. Outside of the classroom, she is a reporter for the Columbia Missourian and a Production Assistant for KOMU 8 News. In addition, she serves as a Mizzou Recruitment Ambassador, sharing her MU experience with prospective students and families while also taking on the role of Junior Development Coordinator for the organization. Post-grad, she hopes to continue her passion for storytelling by pursuing a career in political reporting, working at the intersection of communication and government affairs. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates and getting outside, specifically hiking and skiing, as well as hanging out with friends and family, and binge watching truly terrible reality TV shows.
