Introducing the New Undergraduate Oxford Summer School

The newest addition to our array of study abroad programs developed in partnership with University of Oxford, and the newest collaboration between the Kinder Institute and MU Honors College, the Oxford Summer School will send 20 undergraduate Honors students across the Atlantic each July for a month of study at Oxford’s Rothermere American Institute. As a capstone of sorts for the Kinder-Honors “Revolutions and Constitutions” social science sequence, students in the summer school will spend time in the classroom studying the Glorious Revolution, an event that uniquely spans the topics of both of our sequence classes, and out of the classroom visiting sites of historical importance around the UK. In addition, the Summer School features specialized practicum courses that leverage otherwise inaccessible place-based learning opportunities at Oxford and the RAI.

The deadline to apply for the inaugural Summer School is November 1, and click here to hear more about the program from its co-founder, Kinder Institute Associate Director Billy Coleman (with a tip of the cap, also, to Logan Jackson of the Honors College for the reporting).
