On April 7, the Honors College and Office of the Provost will host Defender, Engineer, Policy Advocate, and MU alum Dr. Marc Canellas on campus for a public lecture on AI, democracy, and our future (see abstract below). Free and open to the public, the talk will be held in Stotler Lounge from 4:00-5:00pm.
Abstract
In an era where the technology we wield grants us unprecedented capabilities, it also forces us to confront profound questions about who we are and how we define our humanity. With experience working on, legislating, and litigating AI, MU alumnus Dr. Marc Canellas will lead us in a provocative discussion about AI, democracy, and our future.
