Professors Jay Sexton and Steve Watts to Participate in Williams Woods’ Presidential Lecture Series

Sponsored by the History Department at William Woods University in Fulton, MO, the three-part “Hail to the Chief” lecture series will explore the historical relationship between American presidents and American character from the founding through the Kennedy administration. The series kicks off on January 20 at noon, with William Woods Assistant Professor of History Craig Bruce Smith’s January 20 lecture on “George Washington and Ethical Leadership,” which will be followed by Kinder Institute Chair in Constitutional Democracy Jay Sexton’s January 30 lecture, “Abraham Lincoln in the World” (4:00 PM), and University of Missouri Professor of History and Kinder Institute Faculty Advisory Council Member Steve Watts’ February 13 lecture, “JFK and the Masculine Mystique” (noon).
