  • Our annual James E. Fleming & Linda C. McClain Constitution Day Lecture with Stanford historian Jonathan Gienapp
  • Friday afternoon talks with Profs. David Konig (Washington University, Aug. 23), David Blackbourn (Vanderbilt, Sept. 6), Brandon R. Davis (Kansas, Sept. 27), Sharon Ann Murphy (Providence College, Oct. 18), and Emily Nacol (University of Toronto, Dec. 6)
  • September 13 MRSEAH meeting with BYU’s Matthew Mason
  • An October 15 visit from Oxford University (St. Catherine’s College) Professor Pekka Hämäläinen, part of our growing trans-Atlantic exchange program with Oxford
  • A November 8 book launch for University of Missouri R.B. Price Professor Emeritus of Law Carl Esbeck and Samford University Professor and Chair of History Jonathan Den Hartog’s new co-edited volume, Disestablishment and Religious Dissent: Church-State Relations in the New American States, 1776-1833, due out in November on University of Missouri Press
  • A late semester (Nov. 21) talk on “Civilians and the Laws of War: The Case of Civil War Missouri” with LSU Fred C. Frey Professor of Southern Studies and Chair of History Aaron Sheehan-Dean
